Ms. Tomberlin is a 1993 graduate of Wingate College with a Bachelors degree in Music Education. Ms. Tomberlin’s teaching career began at North Stanly High School. In 1995, she began teaching at Monroe Middle and High Schools and continued there until 2005. While at Monore, her 7th and 8th grade combined bands earned seven years of straight superior ratings. Ms. Tomberlin is currently teaching at the new schools in Union County, Porter Ridge Middle and High.
Ms. Tomberlin was also the clinician for the Lincoln County All-County Band last year and will be an adjudicator for the Northwest District Festival this spring.
Ms. Tomberlin would like to thank all of the directors for inviting her to work with the Forsyth County All-County Band this year, as well as all of the students and parents. She also sends out a special thanks to her seven year old daughter, Kayla, for all of her love and support.
